What Would I Be? (translation of "Ce-ar fi faptura-mi fara tine")

What would I be without You, Jesus,
Without Your glorious redemption?
How would it be without You in me,
Without Your grace with no exemption?
All I'd be would be a ball of ice
A form of clay that is without life
A rock engulfed in fog, out of sight
An never ending, deep and dark night

I'd be a lighthouse without lightbeams
A desert full of sand in full heat
With gusty winds that never will cease
With serpents to poison as they creep
I'd be a dry and whithered creek bed
Over where water was once fed
A fallen winter leaf that's long dead
Without a clue of what life it's led

This, I would be if it weren't for You
Your life's abundant and always new
Your grace, a vineyard, will sure produce
It'll flood eternally through and through
I wouldn't know the endless smile days
To live with You in heaven always
I wouldn't know how Your love displays
And health and beauty that will amaze

I wouldn't know how good that You are
You have enabled all from the start -
With vast deep wonders we know in part
With all our needs and futures by heart
In glory, You give revelation
I will seek Your illumination
Jesus is Your one incarnation
For now and for perpetuation
