The Lion and the Lamb

The Lion and the Lamb (Is 11, 30, 35, Rev 5:5)

The Lion and the Lamb

And did these feet in ancient time
Walk upon stone marked roads of Rome?
And was the Holy Lamb of God
To make this world His only home?

Then, the Temptor offered all the world,
All of its glory and its pow'r.
The Lord said, 'Only God will be served',
Now was the Holy Kingdom's hour.

He came to die to save the world,
And He will fight for those He won.
I aim to live to serve Him now
And I pray His just will be done.

And I see ev'ry knee is bowed
Tongues confess Him from ev'ry land
I see a new Jerusalem
There sits the Lion and the Lamb.
